Serbia

Poverty and unemployment cause many challenges in this country.

Serbians consider themselves religious, with 57% saying they see religion as important. While the Orthodox church has the largest membership, much of this allegiance is nominal. The greatest proportion of evangelical Christians in Serbia is among Hungarian and Slovak minorities. The Muslim population is also growing and currently stands at 16.5%.
